On Friday I said out loud: "I'm not a webmaster." By Sunday night, bloomstack.com was live.
Not a landing page. Not a placeholder. A fully interactive homepage with agent panels you can click through, workspace previews, an AI Summit event page, sponsor and exhibitor pages, and an announcement video on YouTube — all brand-consistent, all connected, all shipped.
Here's exactly what happened and what it cost.
The Mission
Bloomstack needed a complete marketing launch surface for the AI Summit: The AI Epidemic — Building for Life. June 11, 2026. That meant a homepage, an event page, sponsor materials, exhibitor materials, a video, and a thumbnail. All branded. All live. Fast.
The Tools
Bloomstack — Strategy, prompts, copy, brainstorming, decisions - Inhouse Platform
Perplexity Pro — HTML generation, brand guide implementation - $200/yr + $100 credits
HeyGen — AI avatar video production - $80/mo + $15 credits
Riverside —Video Editing, Thumbnail design
Wix — Hosting and publishing
Total: ~ approx. $400
Traditional route? Social media agency, production team, web development.
Timeline: 4-6 weeks.
Cost: $15,000-$30,000+.
What I Actually Did
The tools didn't build the website. I did.
I made decisions constantly. The fonts didn't feel right — I pushed back. The colors were off-brand — I corrected them. The tagline was weak — we rewrote it five times until "AI that relieves, not replaces" clicked.
Perplexity generated HTML. I decided if it was good enough. HeyGen created video. I chose which take to publish. Bloomstack gave me options. I picked the one that felt like us.
Every output required a human judgment call. The AI handled execution. I handled direction. The Real Insight This weekend taught me something I'd heard but never felt:
The tools don't replace you. They relieve you.
Relief isn't the same as replacement. Replacement means you're not needed. Relief means you can finally do the work that actually requires you — the decisions, the taste, the "does this feel right?" moments.
I couldn't have built this website from scratch. I don't know how to code. I don't know CSS. But I know what Bloomstack should feel like. And I could tell when it didn't.
That's the part AI can't do. And that's the part that matters. The Receipt Everyone talks about AI capabilities. We talk about receipts. Here's mine:
Friday: "I'm not a webmaster."
Sunday: bloomstack.com is live.
Total: 72 hours, $395, one person.
If that's possible for me, what's possible for you?
